Well

Well as much as i hate to say it we are not going to make our thanksgiving deadline to get the trailer done, we had some family emergencies and financial things going on so it 's not going to happen.

But that just gives us a new dead line which is new years!
So I am still gonna work my ass off and get it done.

lesson learned

Well today I learned not to touch the screw directly after using the drill on it. I am still wondering why I did that in the first place and no answers are coming to mind.

But I re-screened all the windows yesterday and got three out of 7 (?) cushions covered and all the curtains sewed. So today I remounted the screens and put up one curtain rod and curtain. That's when the man child got board and wanted to watch Arthur.

pictures to come later.

I guess the water falling from the sky is called rain?

So hey it rained this past weekend! I know,it terrible for working on the trailer so nothing got done. But as you travel around and see all the dead orchards of orange trees and waste land fields where crops should be growing, you can't help but be excited for us here.SO nothing got done on the trailer, except I did get our toilet! It's currently sitting in the back of my van. But hey we got it! Never been this excited about a toilet before. We will work on it this weekend. Can't wait to get things done.

We CRUSHED IT this weekend

We got so much done! We re-wired the trailer and the lights now work, fixed and rewired the water pump, figured out that someone had worked on the trailer before us and rigged it so we figured out what they did. We rearranged some of the lights, and got half of the paneling in today! My legs are covered in bruises, I look like I'm wearing polka dot tights. We checked so much off our list this weekend I'm almost not as worried about getting it livable for thanksgiving weekend. Especially since we have my favorite holiday, Halloween (and a party I'm helping plan), a wedding this weekend, And then my daughters 7th birthday party on the 15th. So I'm kinda a juggling act, then lets also throw in the fact that I homeschool my daughter.

Oh and did i forget to mention that today is my husband and mines 1 year wedding anniversary? Well it is! yay! Had such a fun weekend, went to the Dia De Los Muertos festival downtown, went out to eat and then worked on the trailer for the last two days. I Am so tired but I think this weekend helped us find out why we are such a awesome team. I wouldn't have wanted to spend our anniversary any other way.

 removed this light
 removed this light
someone rearrange the pipes and added their own
truck battery that the brother-in-law donated to the cause
took the light switch from a light we removed and put it here since the old light switch wouldnt work for some reason, now this light turns on the one by our bed/couch.

 Cutting the paneling
This is Valka my anniversary gift from my husband, she is the little viking of our berserker.

 First wall of paneling up
Now at the very bottom on the last piece of insulation we added because there was no insulation at all there and that is where our heads will be when we sleep. This wall is now covered in paneling, I just realized i did't take a picture of it.
The man child getting down with the hammer.

Bathroom paneling is done!! Now for the new toilet!! We will eventually cover the paneling in some pretty awesome wallpaper I picked out. But for now we just want to get it done for our thanksgiving weekend at the desert. Once the paneling is done we need to pack the bearings and get new tires on the trailer and new front tires on our truck. So happy with everything we accomplished this weekend. AND I was able to keep my promise and post a new blog WITH pictures. :) Now I'm going to zone out on pinterest, hopefully I'll have something to show you next weekend around all the other stuff going on.

See you space cowboy...

Short update

SO the fridge works!! I am soooo soo soo happy. We suspect something might be wrong with the wire in the trailer its self, but when plugged the fridge directly into the extension cord it worked! got super cold. Such a relief. Will post picture this weekend of everything we have got done so far.... maybe today since I am in such good spirits...and I am procrastinating on dishes. haha

Two steps forward, than two steps back.

We have break lights and the yellow colored lights ( i have know clue right now what they are called) up and working!! YAY. Thanks to my husband and brother in-law since my short person status couldn't even begin to reach them. BUT i did get all the foam insulation in, and have to foam boards left over that im going to turn into dragons for my daughters birthday party.

But now that the lights inside the trailer aren't wanting to work, and we cant get the fridge to work off electricity. so the paneling is going to have to wait till we can get the the lights to work.

I'll post pictures of everything we did this weekend, I cant get into the trailer right now cause we are storing the paneling in it, and the shit is heavy when they are all together.

Stay tuned dearlings, more to come this weekend!

Yay good news

So I don't have much to say for this blog, but my uncle who is a electrician came over and checked out he berserkers' wiring and it doesn't look like we will have to replace any of the wires. YAY! But we are going to replace the super old lights and stuff. So hopefully We can get the lights done and the insulation and panels up next weekend.

One step closer.

OH SHIT (literally)

So we found the switch to empty the toilet, so we stuck a bucket under the pipe and pulled....There was no need for the bucket, because the toilet was so full it flooded the bucket and our driveway. Sorry drought but I'm going to waste water rinsing away "waste". So gross. I have no idea why the person before the lady we bought it from didn't decided to empty but you sir-ma'am are a asshole. It was soooooo nasty. That being said we managed to get a crowbar and wedge the toilet up from the floor and threw it out. Then I got my happy ass in there and pulled all the paneling out of the bathroom.

I am over joyed at this point because that was the end of the paneling. No more working on pulling fiberglass and paneling out. Now we need to work on the wiring. The husband and the brother-in-law are going to try to handle that in a couple of weeks (yay zombie ball is the coming weekend and ren fair the day after), and my uncle who is a electrician is going to check it out when it's done to make sure we wont burst into flames.

Then new foam insulation sheets and new paneling. Then we will work on getting the top bunk back in.

I am so unbelievably happy that the weather cooperated today and we were able to get everything pulled out. I never want to work on paneling again!

Anyways i got it all swept out and took some pictures for you guys.

Thank you trailer god

So after a crazy weekend working at Fresno's Ani-jam and taking a break on all my projects yesterday. I woke up today and noticed that the weather was on simmer instead of boiling, so I put on some boots and grab the drill. And guess what!? I was able to get another wall ripped down in the berserker. I feel so much better now that some work actually got done. Although I did get a snag in my doctor who dalek dress that I was wearing :( But I can repair that.  You ready for some pictures?

My mess, paneling

that long board is the top bunk that I had to take down to get to the wall paneling.

The wall that i took the paneling out of

Right about the windows is where the top bunk attaches to

I will have to replace these boards. Since they have water damage, and seal around the windows

This is the point where I got tired

The last wall that has to come out

Ewwww, makes me glad i decided on water and mold resistant paneling, that will replace this

The big mess in the trailer, I will clean all this out once we get the last wall ripped out.

The man approves

Keep checking in for updates!

Not much, but a little

Hey there! Its been a while, I know. But the weather calmed down for a minute this weekend, and unfortunately I was dying. From some strange stomach thing, and on my fake death bed I asked my husband, "can...can you.....can you please work on the trailer?..." and then I fell asleep into a coma of pepto, advil, and zzquil. After waking on Sunday feeling slightly better, my husband had ventured out into the trailer and pulled down a wall of the paneling. And even though the trailer looks like a berseker it's self went through it, I am stoked that something got done on my baby. For almost two month I have been seeing  it with a sort of sad mournful/hopeful look in my eye.

So i'm ecstatic that SOMETHING got done on it at all. So to my husband thank you and i honored him with pork chops. haha here are some picture updates :)
Sorry for the fuzzy picture, i was dance around the baby man to get one.
but there it is the wall my husband took the paneling off of. (i think he left it up to me to take the insulation out.)
 A la paneling.
The baby man child himself, very stoked about the missing wall.

as of now

Unfortunately as of now I probably wont have any new posts on the berserker for a while. Because apparently I live in hell. And for the last few weeks and for weeks to come, the forecast is upwards of 100 degrees. And as tolerable as I am of the heat, I cannot work inside the trailer long enough in that heat to get anything done.

SO that means that i probably wont get anything done till the end of august when the weather starts cooling down.

Sorry guys, check back around the end of august for any new post :)

i just want to rip down some walls...thats all...

Everyone please join me in prayer to the TRAILER GODS that it is under 100 degrees this weekend. If the weather keeps this 105 degree crap up, it'll take us all summer to get the damn paneling down. Although being the person that I am, the husband and I did take a stroll around lowes and chose plain white paneling that is water resistant and mold resistant. And found some wallpaper online that we like and we took a look at insulation. We even saw flooring that we like. Everything is picked out. Now if the weather will just calm its s**t we might actually get something done.

hmm

Not much to report today, its slow going during the weekend when the husband is at work and we cant take turns watching the kids. But the kids went to their grandmas for the night so i had a little time this morning. I finished pulling out the paneling on the wall i had been working on. I finished after that. Apparently the wall paper they had used is made of the same shit as captain america's shield. Because it took me forever to pull it out, when the paneling with out the wallpaper was super easy.

Pictures and updates on Saturday. :)

Slow goin on the lo-liner (here by name The Berserker)

It is a solid 95 here in Visalia today, which mean inside the trailer is probably at the least 100 degrees. So as far as work went we did very little. My husband  and I managed to take out one of the shelves, which was more of a project then we anticipated since the screws where stripped. i also got the door jam thing ripped out, and part of the wall paneling ripped out, there is some water damage and mold on the of the support beams around one of the windows which hopefully will be a easy replace.
So I got this far when I realized that I might need to cover my face, and i should google what asbestos looks like. And it wasn't, but after the epic battle getting that middle shelf out there was dust and random spare change everywhere so i cover up with a bandanna.
Then thats when the man child tried to get into the trailer and instead of asking for help, he just f-ing lost his S**t.
So i had to take a a break to comfort him, while my husband thought it was hilarious and took pictures and videos. After that adventure, the men folk went inside while i got busy ripping out that part of the paneling.
Thats where the water damage and mold ate at the wooden beams. But it only looks like two need to be replaced. We will also reseal the window and make sure no leaks happen.
Random selfie.

This is where I stopped working, cause I'm pretty sure I started to melt.
Water damage in the corner.
Which means we will have to take this whole shelf down to replace the paneling and seal any openings.
My mess by the end of it.
